I got an IC for driving two DC motors an STM L in a DIP24 package, datasheet here and I wired it up as illustrated here but when I output the correct logic as described in the datasheet, there appears to be no voltage between any of the output pins.

You aren’t going to be powering that chip from the 5V output of the Arduino. Arduino has enough current for that coming off the 5v pin.

Need help with motor driver IC : arduino
Welcome to Reddit, the front page of the internet. Does anybody know why? In case it wasn’t clear from the schematic, the supply voltage for the IC is 48 VDC, so that perfectly within range. I really want to get this to work
